We experience the world together, a relationship that extends to the technology, media and the objects we produce. Lifeworld can be defined as primarily one's experience of that which immediately surrounds oneself (that which is self-evident). New Lifeworld explores technology’s increasingly prominent role as mediators of the everyday, serving as connectors of algorithmic structures. Influencing both our and their experiences of the world.

It’s been suggested that technical images are an abstraction of reality - now more than ever with the acceleration of technology specifically digital media, we experience this abstraction, a separation from the self-evident, Instead of representing the world, they obscure it until human beings’ lives finally become a function of the images they create [Flusser].

This exhibition asks whether our experiences are primary or mediated through this lens.
